Finding Antiques in South Carolina

Finding Antiques in South Carolina

There are several ways to find antiques in South Carolina. There is the old fashion (and fun) way of browsing through Antique shops, second hand stores, and maybe even a flea market or garage sale.  Sometimes you can get lucky, but you better get there early because there are always others that are routine buyers and they may know a bargain when they see one.

A better way, if you are looking for something specific, is to take advantage of the internet, and social marketing web sites that exist today. Start by going to Google and typing in whatever it is that you are looking for. If it is a small item that can be shipped, do not limit yourself geographically. If shipping is an issue, and you have to pay for freight, or pick up the item, put in your location or state in your Google search. You may be surprised at the results.

Your next step may be on Ebay, to see exactly what is available in the open market. Ebay is simple, and you will be amazed at what is for sale over the internet. If you are unsure on how to make a bid, Ebay will explain this to you with their FAQ’s.

Your next option is social marketing, which is taking the country by storm. Try going to www.twitter.com and playing around on the site. Everything is free, and you can set up an account, with only an email address. Once you have an account you are now ready to start searching other’s "tweets" and even start tweeting on your own. There are a number of other Twitter related web sites that will help you do some searching for whatever it is that you are looking for. Sites like www.tweetdeck.com  will allow you to manage your tweets, and their searching capabilities are as good as you can find for twitter users.

If you have any questions with searching the Internet, you can always email  a question to info@only.sc .
